Big blow for CSK as star overseas player likely to miss upcoming games in IPL 2024

New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings have suffered a huge blow as star overseas pacer Mustafizur Raham will most likely miss the upcoming games of the Indian Premier League 2024. Mustafizur, who is atop the purple cap list with most number of wickets in the IPL 2024 (7) is certain to miss the next game for CSK against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 5 due to a visa issues.

In the last game against Delhi Capitals, MS Dhoni’s fighting knock went in vain as CSK lost the encounter by 20 runs, giving Delhi their first win in the tournament. It has been learnt that Mustafizur has travelled to Bangladesh to complete visa-related formalities for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. The Men’s World Cup is scheduled to be held from June 2 in the USA and West Indies.

The star CSK pacer is has travelled to his home town for completing the biometric process for his US visa. After the biometric process is completed, there is a waiting period of few days before the passport is returned by the authorities to the concerned individual. If report are to be believed, the biometric procedure for Mustafizur is scheduled for April 4.

Shivam Mavi ruled out of IPL 2024

In another development, Lucknow Super Giants bowler Shivam Mavi has been ruled out of Indian Premier League 2024 due to an injury. Mavi, who did not take part in any game in the cash-rich league, was kept on hold in the hope that he will recover somewhere in between the tournament and join the franchise.

But in an update from LSG on Wednesday, it was announced that he will miss the entire season as he has not fully recovered from the injury. Meanwhile, Lucknow who are in a fine touch this season, have not named any replacement for Mavi yet.
