Cristiano Ronaldo nets first half hat-trick for Al Nassr in Saudi League – WATCH

New Delhi: Cristiano Ronaldo scored his second hat-trick within 72 hours to power Al-Nassr to an 8-0 rout of Abha in the Saudi Pro League.

The Portuguese superstar scored three goals in the first half and also provided two assists for the nine-time Saudi Arabian champions on Tuesday.

It was his third hat-trick after his treble in Saturday’s 5-1 win over Al-Tai, which increased his league leading tally to 29 goals.

His first two goals came from free-kicks. The five-time Ballon D’Or winner opened the scoring with a powerful a low shot from a central position just outside the penalty box.

He netted the second came 10 minutes later, curled the ball around the wall from the left side past the stranded Abha keeper.

Ronaldo then set up Sadio mane for a tap-in with a cutback pass from the byline just after the half-hour mark and three minutes before the halftime whistle, he completed the hat trick with a superb chip from outside the box.

Moments before the break, Ronaldo slipped the ball to his right for Abdulmajeed Al-Sulayhim to push it into a vacant net from close range.

In the second half, substitute Abdulaziz Al-Aliwa scored two more for Al Nassr, who remain second, 12 points behind runaway leaders Al-Hilal with eight games left to play.

Meanhwile, Al-Hilal announced on Tuesday that their star striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is second behind Ronaldo in the league with 22 goals, is ruled out for the rest of the season with injury.
