New Delhi: Two dead bodies were discovered in a hotel in Nangloi on Saturday afternoon. The police said that the bodies were discovered at around 2 pm in the afternoon. The hotel staff informed the police after they found that the room occupied by the duo remained closed for very long.
Police recovered syringes and drugs from hotel room
Seeing that the room remained closed even after repeated knocking, the hotel staff informed police. After the police team arrived, they broke open the door. The police found 2 dead bodies inside the room. Both men who initially seemed unconscious were already dead, the police said.
The police recovered several medicines and syringes from the room. The police think that both the men died of drug overdose, however they have not confirmed the same. The police are now awaiting the post-mortem report of the 2 men, in order to ascertain the cause of death.
The bodies were discovered in the Vintage Residency Hotel of Nangloi. The men had booked room number 304 of the hotel, the police said. After the police received a PCR call, they reached the spot/ hotel and recovered the dead bodies. The owner of the hotel, identified as Vivek was present and provided all details about the 2 men.
The 2 men were identified as Jitesh Ghanghas and Sachin. While Jitesh hailed from Haryana’s Panipat, Sachin was a resident of Nangloi itself. While Jitesh was 29 years, Sachin was just 24, the police said.
The forensic team from Rohini Police station and the mobile Crime Branch both have inspected the hotel room where the bodies were discovered. The police have recorded the statement of witnesses and sent the bodies for post mortem. The police have so far ruled out any foul play in both the deaths and attributed it to substance abuse. They however are awaiting confirmation from SGM Hospital where the post-mortem is being done.
