New Delhi: A cash collection agent was robbed of Rs 50 lakh on Saturday he was carrying in his bag while riding his scooter in the national capital. As per the police on Saturday, the incident happened near the Civil Lines area.
Sharing details, Rajesh while informing the police said that he was returning from Maharana Pratap Bagh and Chandni Chowk after collecting the cash. After he reached the market, two men on another scooty reached near him and snatched the bag which contained Rs 50 lakh that he was carrying. At the time of the incident, Rajesh had kept the bag near his feet on the scooter.
Case filed in the incident
While the case of the incident has been filed by the police, efforts are on to nab the culprits. Adding further, the police said that Rajesh works as a cash agent for a plastic pellet businessman in Netaji Subhash Place. Even as his statement has been recorded, the police have also gone through the CCTV footage to check routes taken by culprits.
Recently, a man who had come to Delhi in search of a job was allegedly killed by 3 minors during a robbery attempt. The incident took place in the national capital’s Nangloi area. Talking about the incident, the police had said it received a PCR call with information that some people allegedly stabbed a man while trying to rob him. Later, the victim was shifted to a hospital, where he was declared dead.
The victim was identified as Vivek Kumar. He was a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya Back home, his father and elder brother are farmers. The police said that some of the victim’s family stayed in Nihal Vihar in Delhi. Just like one of his cousins, the victim was looking to join as a salesman.
