New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a 58-year-old man was stabbed to death in Delhi’s Dayalpur area on Saturday by a neighbour to whom he had allegedly lend a loan of Rs 10, 000, the police said. The victim was allegedly stabbed around 1:30 pm this afternoon.
The police said that Zahooruddin was allegedly stabbed to death by Shahid near Bharat Dairy. Even as Shaid had borrowed the money from from Zahooruddin, the former was allegedly reluctant to return the money. The dispute between the two started after Zahooruddin reportedly started asking Shahid to repay the debt. The victim was into a shoe-making business.
FIR filed in the case
An FIR has been filed in the case on the basis of a complaint filed by Zahooruddin’s son Sohail. While the accused has gone missing since murder, the police have formed a team to nab him at the earliest.
Earlier on Friday, a man was shot at in a salon in Delhi’s Najafgarh. According to the Najafgarh police, it received a call informing that a man was shot at in the area. Another call was also received at Mohan Garden Police Station after few minutes saying that two persons were admitted to a hospital after they were hit by gunshots. .
Both the victims, identified as Ashish and Sonu, succumbed to injuries during treatment in the hospital. The police added that further probe is on in the matter.
Last month, a 26-year-old was allegedly killed in the national capital and his body disposed of in a lake. The victim was identified as Lakshay Chauhan, and was the the son of a senior police official in Delhi. Reports said that the victim was killed and his body was disposed off outside Delhi. The police had detained 1 person in the case.
