India vs England, 3rd Test: Records and milestones to watch out for

New Delhi: After winning the second Test match against England comprehensively, Team India would want to continue the winning ways when they face England in the third Test match at Rajkot starting Thursday. The series between the two giants is equally poised at 1-1. England won the series opener to take a 1-0 lead in Hyderabad while India bounced back strongly in the second match at Vizag to level the 5-match affair.

With the absence of experienced players like Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, India would be banking on the youngsters in the squad to make it 2-1 in the crucial encounter. Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel are expected to debut in Rajkot in an important fixture. They must be aiming to make the most of it if they get their first match. This becomes a very important game before the last two as both the teams would want to take a lead before entering the final two.

Meanwhile, the visitors, who could not perform up to the mark in the last game, will definitely want to return to winning ways when they face India in Rajkot. The Ben Stokes-led side who has Mark Wood in the squad would aim to show their superiority when they face the hosts on Thursday. 170 – Rohit Sharma needs 170 runs to complete the landmark of 4000 runs in Tests.

4 – R Ashwin requires four scalps to reach 350 wickets in Tests on home soil.
