New Delhi: Veteran Gujarat Titans keeper Wriddhiman Saha effected two sharp stumpings in their IPL 2024 match against hosts Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday.

The 39-year-old might have fallen out of favour in the Indian Test squad, but at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, he showed that he had not lost his sharp reflexes that had once made him the best keeper in the country.

In the second ball of the sixth over, Saha was on top of his game when he stumped CSK opener Rachin Ravindra (46 runs off 20 balls) off Rashid Khan.

The leg spinner’s quicker delivery was on the leg side and it skidded along the deck, forcing Ravindra to nudge it.

But he got an inside-edge and the ball rolled towards Saha as Ravindra momentarily stepped out of his crease. It allowed Saha to dislodge the bails and catch Ravindra short.

In the first ball of the 11th over, Saha was at it again as Ajinkya Rahane charged outside the crease to Sai Kishore and missed the ball.

Saha was happy to dislodge the ball as Rahane departed for 12.
