Lok Sabha Elections 2024: BJP’s 8th list includes 11 names, Preneet Kaur to contest from Patiala

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday announced its eighth list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, encompassing constituencies across Odisha, Punjab, and West Bengal. The list includes prominent names and notable political figures, highlighting the party’s strategic approach in key regions.

Bhartri Mehtab, who recently joined the BJP, finds himself on the list. In Punjab, Preneet Kaur, the wife of former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, has been nominated to contest from the Patiala Lok Sabha seat. Former IPS officer Devashish Dhar has been given the ticket to contest from Birbhum in West Bengal.

Candidates for 6 seats of Punjab have been declared in the eighth list. The ticket has been given to Dinesh Singh Babbu from Gurdaspur, Taranjit Singh Sandhu from Amritsar, Sushil Kumar Rinku from Jalandhar, Ravneet Singh Bittu from Ludhiana, Preneet Kaur from Patiala, Hans Raj Hans from Faridkot (SC) Lok Sabha seat. Hansraj Hans is currently an MP from North West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency.

Odisha Lok Sabha candidates

BJP has declared the names of candidates for three seats in Odisha. In this list, Bhartrihari Mahtab has been fielded from Cuttack seat, Sukant Kumar Panigrahi from Kandhamal and Rabindra Narayan Behera from Jajpur seat.

In West Bengal, Dr Pranat Tudu has been fielded from Jhargram (ST) Lok Sabha seat and Debashish Dhar, IPS from Birbhum.
