Guna: In a shocking case reported from Madhya Pradesh’s Guna, a 25-year-old man was killed for resisting his sister’s kidnapping. The man belonged to the nomadic Pardi community, police said. The incident was reported from Dharnavada in Guna, which lies some 40 kilometres away from the district headquarters.

Man shot in foot, bled to death: Police

Explaining the circumstances surrounding the man’s death, the police said that the young man was shot in the foot by the miscreants. They were angered by his resistance to let them take away his sister, according to Sub-Inspector Rajendra Singh, of the Dharnavada police station.

After he was shot at, the man was rushed to a nearby hospital, said reports. But since he was bleeding badly, doctors at the hospital referred him to the state capital, Bhopal. The doctors said that he needed better medical care and advanced equipment were required to treat his injuries, which were not available in Guna.

Unfortunately however the man lost his life while being moved to Bhopal. Following the death, police registered a murder case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). They have booked 7 to 8 persons for the murder.

The police said that all efforts are being made to arrest the accused at the earliest. It seems that the man was unknown to the assailants and that there was some old enmity between them, the accused and the family of the victim. It seems it was in revenge for something that the miscreants were trying to kidnap the girl.

Police however are not speculating much on the case as of now. They said that investigations are ongoing and anything concrete can be said only after it is complete. The body will be handed over to the family, once all legal formalities are complete, said police officials.
