New Delhi: Telugu film icon Mahesh Babu, along with his wife Namrata Shirodkar, has taken a stand against the misuse of their daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni’s identity on social media platforms. The couple, through their production house GMB Entertainment, issued a stern warning to address the fraudulent activities.
Sitara Ghattamaneni’s fake Instagram account
In a statement shared on social media, Mahesh Babu and Namrata expressed their concern over a cybercrime incident involving the impersonation of their daughter on Instagram. The statement emphasised that an unidentified individual had been deceitfully posing as Sitara Ghattamaneni, misleading unsuspecting users by sending trading and investment links.
Namrata Shirodkar shares statement
Namrata Shirodkar reiterated the gravity of the situation on her Instagram handle, clarifying that Sitara Ghattamaneni has only one legitimate account, and any other handles claiming to represent her should not be trusted.

The note urged the public to exercise caution and promptly report any suspicious activity to the authorities. Efforts are underway, in collaboration with law enforcement, to identify and apprehend the perpetrator responsible for these unauthorised actions to prevent further incidents. Additionally, the public was advised to verify the authenticity of celebrity accounts before engaging with any financial advice online.
Sitara Ghattamaneni, aged ten, is the daughter of Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar, who also have a son named Gautham.
