Ramayana: Ranbir Kapoor starrer goes on floor, Ayodhya set to cost Rs 11 crore?

New Delhi: Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated upcoming Bollywood releases. Even prior to the start of filming, fans were eager to know details about its star cast and other aspects. And now, when the shooting has reportedly begun, the latest update from the film’s sets will definitely leave you craving for more.

As per koimoi.com, it is reported that a huge set has been made for Ayodhya which costs Rs 11 crore. Don’t rub your eyes! You read that right. You will be amazed to know that Mithila is expected to be the second most expensive set created. It will be used for Ram-Sita Swayamvar.

Also, it is being said that huge amounts are being spent to make Gurukul, lanes of Ayodhya, forest for exile and other important sets for the movie. Judging by such talks, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the flick will bring grandeur to the silver screen in an unprecedented manner.

Ramayana star cast

Ranbir Kapoor will be portraying the character of Lord Ram in Ramayana, while Sai Pallavi has been signed to play the role of Goddess Sita. According to the Rumour Street of B-Town, the 41-year-old hunk is likely to join the shoot later in April.

For the uninitiated, Ramayana is rumoured to be a three-part film series. The first part is believed to end with Sita’s abduction. Kannada superstar Yash has been roped in to play Ravana and, as a result, he will get a very limited screen time in part 1.
