New Delhi: Ed Piskor, an American alternative comics artist, recently breathed his last. He was 41 at the time of his tragic death. The family announced his passing on Monday, April 1, 2024. However, the cause of his demise was not disclosed.

Before his death, Piskor shared what seemed to be a suicide note on social media, addressing and mostly refuting harassment allegations against him made by two women. In March 2024, Molly Dwyer accused Piskor of attempting to ‘groom’ her. While calling him a ‘creep’, she further revealed that the incident happened when she was a minor. Dwyer even released screenshots of their conversation as evidence.

Soon enough, another woman, named Molly Wright, accused Piskor of asking her for favours in exchange for giving her his agent’s phone number. It is being said that Piskor’s art exhibition, scheduled for March 25, 2024, was indefinitely postponed after the allegations surfaced.

Ed Piskor ‘suicide note’

Piskor was an avid Facebook user and he used the platform to post his final note. “I’m helpless against a mob of this magnitude. Please share my side of things. Sayonara,” he posted along with a link to an apparent suicide note.

His social media note has left many in tears. “Ed, PLEASE don’t do this! I can’t even imagine how bad the last week has been for you, but there are so many people who love you, and there are people all over the world who appreciate your work. Don’t do this, please. There is light on the other side,” wrote a netizen. Another commented, “Dude, you have a lot more friends than you think. We all want you to stick around.”
