‘If BJP comes back to power, this will be India’s last election’ says DMK leader Kanimozhi

Coimbatore: During the election campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls in the Coimbatore constituency,
DMK leader Kanimozhi said that if the BJP comes to power again, there will be no election in the country

“If BJP comes to power again, we should remember that if such an accident happens, this will be India’s last election. There will be no election and no one will listen. They will bring whatever law they want,” Kanimozhi said and she added that anti-minority laws will be implemented for farmers and workers under the BJP rule.

Kanimozhi campaigns in Coimbatore

The DMK sitting MP campaigned in Coimbatore in support of Ganapathy Rajkumar, the party’s candidate near Tudiyalur Bus Stand in the city on Friday. Speaking to the voters then, she asked the people of Coimbatore to cast their votes wisely.

She said that there is a big danger for Tamil Nadu if they vote wrongly. The DMK leader criticized K Annamalai, president of the state BJP unit saying he will be chased if he contests his native place – Karur.

Annamalai is contesting for the third position: Kanimozhi

“Annamalai is contesting from Coimbatore, because if he contests in his constituency, Karur, he will be chased away by the people. Annamalai calculates that he can win here with Vanathy’s support, he has miscalculated, in reality, he is contesting here for the third spot, Kanimozhi criticized.

Coimbatore is one of the key constituencies to watch out for in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections as this LS seat is witnessing a three-cornered battle between Dravidian majors and the saffron party.

The ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu which is part of the INDIA bloc keen to repeat the 2019 Lok Sabha results in which the DMK and its allies including Congress won 38 out of 39 LS seats in the state.
