Ravindra Jadeja takes a one-handed flying stunner to dismiss KL Rahul- WATCH

New Delhi: Ravindra Jadeja took a magnificent one-handed catch at the point to dismiss LSG skipper KL Rahul in the 34th match of the Indian Premier League at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. KL Rahul scored 82 runs off 53 balls, his remarkable knock was laced with nine boundaries and three maximums. KL Rahul was looking to take LSG over the line with his unbeaten knock, but Jadeja at the point took a brilliant one-handed blinder.

CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and batter KL Rahul couldn’t believe their eyes when Jadeja took the catch. Earlier Jadeja smashed his first fifty of the season. The left-handed batter scored 57* runs off 40 balls with five boundaries and one maximum.

LSG defeated CSK by 8 wickets

CSK batted first and posted 176 runs on the scoreboard in 20 overs. Rachin Ravindra was dismissed for a golden duck by Mohsin Khan. Ajinkya Rahane scored 36 runs off 24 balls. Ravindra Jadeja smashed his first half-century of the season. Moeen Ali took on Ravi Bishnoi and smacked him for three back-to-back sixes. Moeen scored 30 runs off 20 balls. MS Dhoni came to bat in the last two overs of the innings and scored 28 runs off 9 balls. His dazzling cameo was laced with three boundaries and two maximums.

Chasing the target of 177, LSG got off to a good start. KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock took on CSK bowlers and smashed them all around the ground. Quinton de Kock was dismissed by Mustafizur Rahman in the 15th over. de Kock scored 54 runs off 43 balls with five boundaries and one maximum. Pathirana dismissed KL Rahul on the first ball of the 18th over, Jadeja took a brilliant catch at the point but LSG comfortably chased down the target in 19 overs.
