Posted by Islamabad: Pakistan’s former Prime Minister and chief of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan has accused the jail authorities of mixing poisonous substances in his wife Bushra Bibi’s food. He said that “toilet cleaner” was being mixed in the food served to Bibi at her Banigala residence.
Khan made claims during court appearance
According to reports, Imran Khan appeared for a hearing in the 190 million pounds corruption case in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail on Friday and it is here that he made these shocking claims. He claimed that due to the toilet cleaner being mixed in her food, Bibi was suffering from stomach irritations almost daily and her health was deteriorating.
Talking about a doctor’s recommendation about a health check up for Bushra Bibi, he said that she was advised to go to Shifa International Hospital. But the jail administration was insisting on carrying out all the tests at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital.
Reports in the Pakistani media said that Bibi had filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court on April 15. She asked her medical tests to be done at the Shaukat Khanum Hospital or any other private hospital of her choice. Shewanted doctors to examine if she had been given poison. The petition claimed that she had been suffering from heart burns, aches in the throat and her mouth, which she insisted was a result of the poisonous food being served to her. She further claimed psychological torture at the sub jail, her residence at Banigala.
She claimed that there were spy cameras installed in the washrooms. Also there was only 1 lady staff in the jail while all other attendants were male. This she said made her very uncomfortable.
