Posted by Gurugram:A fire erupted at Narayana E-Techno School, located in Sector-37C of Gurugram on Tuesday morning, according to police officials. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries reported. The blaze resulted in the destruction of approximately 500 sets of children’s uniforms stored in a room, along with three computers and two air-conditioners. Gulshan Kalra, the deputy director (technical) of the Haryana fire services, who also oversees the Sector 29 fire station, stated, “The fire station received a distress call at 8:57 am from Narayana E-Techno School, prompting the dispatch of three fire tenders from various stations within minutes. Preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit may have caused the fire, ruling out any foul play.”

Revised school timings on the occasion of Durga Ashtami prevented a big mishap
Fortunately, it should be acknowledged that on Tuesday, the children arrived at school later than usual due to Durga Ashtami. Officials in Haryana stated that schools commenced at 10 am instead of the usual 8 am on Tuesday in observance of Durga Ashtami. An order regarding the adjusted school schedule was issued late Monday evening.
Three fire brigades rushed to the site doused off the flames in 90 minutes
Meanwhile, as per the fire department official, it took 90 minutes to douse the blaze. “The fire broke out in the room of the school’s vice principal, where nearly 500 new uniform of children were kept, and so, the fire spread immediately. It also engulfed the furniture, doors and other wooden items,” he said.
The school authorities along with the fire brigade officials managed to control the situation in time,” said a member of Narayana School management.
“The fire was doused within an hour and fire tenders reached the spot on time, for which the blaze did not spread to the other rooms. Everyone is safe,” said a school official on condition of anonymity.
Incident of fire in the same school earlier-
About five years prior, a fire broke out in another section of the same school due to a short-circuit, endangering approximately 30 nursery students. Fortunately, 1,800 students were successfully evacuated to safety.
