Posted by Mumbai: Pan-Indian actor Allu Arjun posted a selfie with his newly unveiled wax statue on Thursday. With this achievement, the actor has now joined the league of various acting stalwarts who have been immortalised with wax statues. On Thursday, he shared a picture of himself alongside the wax figure, depicting the iconic pose from his film Pushpa, the same pose replicated by the statue.
Allu Arjun shared this picture on his Instagram with the caption, “Here we go #MadameTussaudsdubai #ThaggedheLe.” The wax figure is attired in his famous red jacket from the movie Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and perfectly imitates the ‘thaggede le’ gesture from Pushpa. Allu Arjun himself wore the same attire for this significant occasion.
Earlier that morning, he teased the launch of the statue with a photo and said, “It’s a milestone moment for every actor.”
Madame Tussauds, calling Allu Arjun ‘the king of dance,’ also shared a photo of him after the unveiling. Later, they posted a video of the big reveal. But the surprise wasn’t just the statue for Allu Arjun; it was also his daughter Arha copying his famous Pushpa pose. The excited actor joined her in posing with the statue, both doing the Pushpa pose.
Gangotri anniversary
The unveiling of Allu Arjun’s wax figure happened on the same day as the release anniversary of his first film Gangotri in 2003. Celebrating his 21 years in the industry, he wrote on X, “It’s a very spl day today. My 1st movie #Gangotri was released today in 2003 & today I am launching my Wax statue at #madametussauds dubai.”
He added, “It’s been an unforgettable journey of 21 years. I am grateful to each and every one of you in this journey & special thanks to my Fans (ARMY) for their ardent love & support. Hoping to make you all more proud in years to come. Ever Grateful & Humbled.”
