IPL 2024: David Warner’s love for India intensifies as Aussie wants an Aadhar Card – WATCH

New Delhi: Delhi Capitals (DC) opener David Warner might be on the verge of getting an Indian citizenship as he has shared his love for the nation time and again. Fans here in India love him for his Indian touch as seen in a few of his viral Instagram reels. He has performed acts on famous Telugu movies’ dialogues and songs and always has some heartwarming gestures in his kitty for the Indian fans, including speaking in Hindi.

In a recent video shared by DC on their social media handles, Warner was seen speaking Hindi fluently. The video had social media influencer Vibhu Varshney as the host who was making offers to Warner and the Aussie didn’t show any interest by saying “Nahi Yaar!”. The offers included going for a movie and having a free meal but they didn’t excite Warner.

However, as soon as he was asked about getting a free Aadhar Card, Warner was all in for the offer and responded by saying, “Chalo Chalo Chalo”. His excitement levels peaked when he lifted the host in the video and ran to get the card made. The video was filmed at the Arun Jaitley Stadium where DC are hosting the other sides in the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

Warner’s injury concerns in IPL 2024

Warner had sustained a thumb injury in DC’s clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and he went on to miss the match upcoming match against Gujarat Titans (GT). He returned for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) clash but was kept on the sidelines again in the second clash against GT on Wednesday. In his absence, batting prodigy Jake Fraser-McGurk had taken the opener’s role in the GT game. Warner has scored 167 runs in 7 matches for DC so far.
