New Delhi: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 34th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday. Both teams faced each other thrice in the tournament and both won one game against each other with one match ending in no result due to the bad weather.
KL Rahul opens for LSG in the ongoing tournament but he has been in poor form, so far. He has scored 204 runs in the six IPL matches at an average of 34. In the opening match of the tournament, Rahul scored 58 runs against Rajasthan Royals (RR) and in the next match against Punjab Kings (PBKS), he scored 15 runs. The 32-year-old struck 39 runs against Delhi Capitals (DC) and similar against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Rahul got good starts but he failed to convert them into big runs. Other than LSG, earlier Rahul used to play for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)
LSG lost their last two matches and CSK won their last two matches of the season and it might get difficult for LSG to face an in-form team like CSK. KL Rahul will be looking to score big runs against Ruturaj Gaikwad led-CSK. LSG currently sit fifth and CSK is on the third spot in the IPL 2024 points table.
