MS Dhoni’s heartwarming gesture for specially abled fan in Lucknow wins hearts, video goes viral – WATCH

New Delhi: Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni won hearts with his special feature for a specially-abled fan at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Dhoni spotted the fan while leaving the ground after practice and gave him his autograph on the artwork he was standing with. The video of the incident went viral on social media.

In the video, the fan can be seen standing with an artwork of Dhoni in his hands. On spotting him, Dhoni requests the ground staff to bring the artwork to him and gives his autograph on it. Dhoni’s gesture made the fan’s day, with the former CSK skipper earning praise from all corners.

Dhoni once again showcased his finishing prowess during CSK’s clash against LSG at the Ekana Stadium with a whirlwind cameo for the five-time champions. Walking out to bat at no.8, Dhoni smashed an unbeaten 28 runs off just 9 balls studded with three fours and two sixes. The 42-year-old wicket-keeper batter, who is in the final lap of his illustrious career, continues to amaze fans with his ridiculous hitting ability.

CSK were 141/6 when Dhoni walked out in the middle amid loud cheers from the crowd on the final delivery of the 18th over. He got off the mark with a single before smashing left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan for a 4 and a six off consecutive deliveries in the 19th over. He helped CSK get 15 runs from the penultimate over before smashing two fours and a six in the last over from Yash Thakur to get 19 from it.

MS Dhoni’s cameo went in vain

Dhoni’s cameo of 9-ball 28 lifted CSK to 176/6 in 20 overs, however, it ended up in vain as LSG chased down the target comfortably with an over to spare. The hosts rode on a fabulous knock of 82 runs from skipper KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock’s 54 off 43 deliveries to chase down the target without breaking a sweat. With the win, LSG moved to the 5th spot on the points table with 8 points from 7 matches.
