Posted by Lucknow: In a shocking incident reported from Uttar Pradesh’s capital, Lucknow, a 19-year-old boy lost his life while making reels for Instagram. The youth reportedly fell into a water tank located in the city’s Aashisna area, said police officials. The death happened late Thursday night.
Youth was making reels for Instagram with friend
The youth fell into a water tank of the Lucknow Municipal Corporation. He has been identified as Shivash Agaarwal. The police said that he along with another friend climbed the water tank to make reels. At around 9:15 pm at night, the boy slipped and fell into the water, they said. The police were informed about the incident by the boy’s friend.
Soon after getting information, a local police team rushed to the spot. They however could not rescue the teenager. Soon after the fire department was informed about the incident. They managed to fish out the boy from the tank, but he was unconscious.
Agaarwal was rushed to Lok Bandhu hospital, but was unfortunately declared dead on arrival by doctors there. One of the senior doctors at the facility was quoted by the Times of India as saying, “Primarily it appears that drowning was the reason for death.” The boy’s father was informed about his death.
The father of the boy is a former security guard. The distraught man recalled that his son had left home at around 4:30 pm with his friend. He said that when he was told about his son having fallen into the tank, he immediately rushed to the spot. He alleged that his son’s body had injury marks and therefore he had his doubts about the death being just an accident. He however said that the autopsy report would make things more clear.
The father recalled that his son wanted to start his own food cart and he had contributed Rs 1.82 lakh for this business. He said that he had no idea that his son was so much into making reels. Shivansh had celebrated his birthday on March 5 and had promised his father to concentrate on studies. The deceased’s friend, identified as Prabhat Awasthi was filming the video when Shivansh allegedly slipped and fell in the tank.
