Posted by New Delhi: In a tragic sequence of events, a 24-year-old woman named Anusha was allegedly stabbed to death by her 44-year-old ex-boyfriend in Bengaluru’s Jayanagar area. Subsequently, the assailant was bludgeoned to death by the victim’s mother.
Identified as Anusha and T Suresh, the two had known each other for five years, having initially met while working for an event management firm. Suresh, who had claimed to be single, engaged in a relationship with Anusha, promising marriage.
However, Anusha later discovered his marital status with two children, prompting her efforts to distance herself. A confrontation erupted between Anusha and Suresh at Sarakki Park near her residence in Jayanagar, triggered by her attempts to sever ties. Suresh allegedly stabbed her during this altercation, leading to a fatal outcome.
Anusha’s mother’s heroic effort
Anusha’s mother, Geetha, who had become suspicious and followed her daughter, witnessed the assault. Despite her attempts to intervene, she couldn’t prevent the stabbing. In a desperate bid to save her daughter, Geetha struck Suresh with a cement brick, resulting in his demise.
Anusha sustained critical injuries, succumbing to stab wounds upon arrival at a nearby hospital. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Lokesh Bharamappa Jagalasar confirmed the deaths of both Anusha and Suresh, detailing the circumstances of the incident.
Suresh and Anusha worked at same place
Investigations suggest that Suresh initiated the attack, and Anusha’s mother’s intervention led to his demise. Both individuals were acquainted through their workplace, with Anusha serving as a caretaker and Suresh employed in event management. Anusha’s efforts to distance herself from Suresh are believed to have contributed to the tragic confrontation.
Authorities have initiated two separate cases in connection with the incident, with Anusha’s mother undergoing questioning as part of ongoing investigations. Further inquiries are underway to ascertain additional details surrounding the case.
